Our Process

The first step in the Custom Home Process is to meet with us to get to know one another better. We know that your builder, like our clients, become part of the family, so we want to ensure everyone is comfortable with one another. At your initial sit down, we will ask pertinent questions to discover and learn about your priorities in your new home, as well as your time line, and most importantly, your budgetary goals. If you have sample home plans that you like, please be sure to bring them along with you. Even if you have multiple floor plans with different parts of each plan you like, bring all of the plans so we may discuss how to marry the attributes you love from each plan, while eliminating or modifying the parts you don’t love so much.

If you have already selected a community, and more importantly a homesite, you are ahead of the game and we can get the ball rolling . . . if not, we work with the area’s top Realtors to assist you in finding the perfect community and perfect homesite to build your dream home. Homesite selection is crucial, as it determines the building footprint of your home, the width and depth you have to work with, as well as the Architectural requirements of the community we will need to follow in the design and building process.

Once the homesite is selected we will be able to move forward with a customized plan to fit your needs, or select a plan from our portfolio to fit your homesite and your needs. If we are within budget, we will continue to move forward; if we are not, we will look at what adjustments need to be made to meet your budget. We can help you determine what is most important to you and where to trim costs in one area in order to add to another area so that you get the perfect home.

After completing the plan design, you will personalize the interior of your home. We will set appointments with each of our vendors for you to select everything from flooring and cabinetry, to lighting and plumbing fixtures. You will be given an allowance for each of these elements of your home so that you are on track to stay within your budget.

Once plans have been finalized and selections have been made, the fun will begin! With a team of dedicated subcontractors, many of whom have worked with us for years, your home will be constructed with a level of detail rarely seen in today’s building industry. We will monitor the progress of your home and update you along the way, answering any questions or concerns that may arise. Our goal is to offer you a pleasant and exciting building experience, managing any issues that may arise behind the scenes so you do not have to.
